Hmm re read this thread again ... Pheonix or nuLFU both sound good , and checking them out (in WWII kit ) makes sense.
lol... re-reading all around! ![]()
Good... Well LF haven't got the dates for 2007 sorted yet. But Dave can you have a think about Phoenix?
The IED can be a day thing , most people stay the night because it's a bit of a trek and you can . Next tme I'm up there I'll have some thoughts as to what sort of game could be played there, and draft up some ideas. If it looks of interest we'll take it from there .
A day would be better for me... though I guess its still a fair bit of travelling for me... so I'd have to spend the night. However 1 night is better than 2...
I take the point that if the BotB is a success we need to roll with more of that type of softing to build a WWII brand , rather than confuse people by having a very milsim event that a lot won't buy into . Could even look at a private invite only game ? Just a thought .
Private invite games are a posibility, but I don't really want to exclude people "cos they're not our mates".. I think if we market it properly then we shouldn't have too much of a problem.
Website ideas sound cool , as ever NFI on these things myself but like the way it's worked so far so will trust the boss !
Dave has done a cracking job so far and will no doubt continue to do so! One thing I'd like to do is to get the forum data of this free one and onto one we have more control over.
On the V1 Commandos thing... that may be ideal for the IED game... Basically the same scenario as Darkmoon!
Exactly my dear Watson .
Big site (700 acres) - allies parachute in ( deployed around the area by Landrover in 2's and 3's ) Spend the better part of a day meeting up and avoiding German patrols , recceing the target . Germans out looking for the tommies, few subplots thrown in for good measure, then dawn attack on the V1 . Would work quite nicely with as little as 20 players , but need players interested in that sort of thing , period camping the works.
10 am Saturday to 10 am Sunday , private invite only .
Not that I've given this any thought of course ![]()

I don't work that way , my thinking is more asking players we think would be interested rather than encourage the guy in Flecktarn and a G36 to give it a go . Only a thought at this stage -correct marketing and emphasising the difference should work as well .

Okay... so no need to muddy the waters of the main push of this group... no need to market it. We just need a private forum on the site for the game to be organised and then we can concentrate on getting the Arnhem game up and running.
Sounds like a plan .
hehehe - after this weekend no one might want to hear from us again ![]()
I hope not!
Hope we have the same enthusiasm after the 17th!
Just to pick up on Yith - I have got a forum loaded up on the webby server anyway so control is good! I'm not into forums so we will sort it when the time comes....
And also Phoenix Urban is good whenever we want it (there is a weekender on 3 & 4 March though). Any Saturday is fine. Open days are every other Sunday but we can push one of those off if need be.

Dave... first we need to get all of us to an open day at Phoenix and one at nuLFU.
I suggest trying for January...
Indeed Yith, you asked the question.
Oh, I see, you meant what are the open days

it's every other Sunday but they have yet to put up the dates as well!

Won't be able to make anything until late Feb I'm afraid!
